People & Culture Manager (m/w/d)

Creating the magic of well-established people processes, communicating with the team, and making sure they have all that they need is what will get you up here every day. But let us warn you - this is not a typical People & Culture role. In this position, your responsibilities will be more diverse, more dynamic & more fun! We don't expect you to have years of experience working in HR. We, however, expect you to be ambitious & growth-driven, have a positive & can-do attitude, and be able to juggle multiple unknowns while setting the path for future successes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement People & Culture experiences to support a high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with company values and goals. 
  • Foster a positive work environment by organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives, tailored towards a remote first culture.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations to build a talented and diverse team.
  • Create an amazing onboarding and offboarding experience for your fellow team members by coordinating the process from start to finish.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and data ,including personnel files, attendance records, and performance evaluations, using Personio and other software.
  • Administer employee benefits and other perks, to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Help us become our best selves by researching new improvement ideas and sharing them proactively.
YOUR BACKGROUND
  • You have some experience working as with HR/Operations in a startup, ideally within operations, executive, or HR departments
  • P&C Experience: You have gained first insights into People & Culture, ideally within a start up with touch points into multiple facets such as People Ops, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development. You have a basic understanding of employment law and EoR set ups. 
  • Startup Dynamics: You are familiar and thrive in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of startups. You are able to prioritise well and stay on top of your tasks, even when faced with changes. 
  • Remote first. You are a big remote work advocate and fully recognize the benefits of asynchronous and proactive communication through tools such as Asana, Slack, Loom and Google Workspace.
  • Can-Do Attitude and Growth Mindset: You have a proactive approach and a positive attitude towards challenges, with a willingness to take initiative and drive solutions. You own your tasks and ensure constant progress. 
  • Collaborative and Team-Oriented: You have strong interpersonal skills and feel passionate about helping people and communicating with them on a daily basis
  • Transparency and Curiosity: You are not afraid to admit when there's a gap in knowledge and being open to learning and seeking solutions. You promote transparency in communication to foster trust and collaboration within the team.
  • Interest in Innovation: You are genuinely interested in exploring new ideas, technologies, and methodologies to enhance our People & Culture experience. You are open to experiment with new approaches and adapt them to suit BRUNA.
  • Language. You are fluent in English and German.
